The company

A mandate house rooted in Yaoundé, working with international markets

Société Carole Business SARL is a company incorporated under Cameroonian law. Its activity is the international trading of refined energy products, carried out in the capacity of mandated agent for producers and refiners.

Why we exist

In petroleum trading, the difficulty is almost never finding someone to talk to. It is knowing who that person actually speaks for.

Chains of intermediation grow longer, mandates overlap, and the buyer ends up dealing with parties whose standing and connection to the producer have never been established. The cost of that opacity is not only financial: it is measured in wasted months and in trust that does not come back.

Société Carole Business was formed to hold one position that is simple and capable of being verified: that of the mandated agent. We act on behalf of the producers and refiners who have given us a mandate, and we stay within that perimeter. What we cannot establish, we do not assert.

Where we stand

Cameroon sits at a hinge point on the Atlantic seaboard of the Gulf of Guinea, where Central Africa meets the corridors that serve the landlocked countries inland. That geography is a working constraint: it governs routing, port calls and the lead times on which transactions depend.

Being established here is not a marketing line. It is what makes it possible to understand the real constraints of an operation conducted on this continent, and to deal on equal terms with the administrations, port operators and local partners whose cooperation determines whether it completes.

How we work

We favour documented files and identified counterparties. We take on few enquiries, we examine those seriously, and we say early when a transaction falls outside our scope or does not meet the conditions for review.

That selectivity is not a pose. It is the only way to honour what a mandate promises: an undertaking given to a principal carries more weight than a volume of announced opportunities.

Leadership

Mrs Agnès Nnomo N.

Managing Director of Société Carole Business SARL, Mrs Agnès Nnomo N. leads the company and commits its signature under the mandates entrusted to it. She also directs CB+, the temporary business grouping of which SCBS is the lead company.

A mandate is not something you announce; it is something you prove. Our work is to make sure every party knows exactly who they are speaking to, on whose behalf, and on the strength of which documents.

What binds us

Four principles of conduct

01

Rigour

A transaction moves in order. No step begins until the previous one is settled and documented.

02

Compliance

KYC and AML checks come before the commercial discussion. They are not a closing formality.

03

Transparency

We state what we know, what we do not know, and what we are not in a position to guarantee.

04

Discretion

Information about a transaction stays within the circle of parties that need to know it.
